SHA members and conference attendees are invited to participate in the 2024
Archaeological Photo & Video Competition
and People’s Choice Awards
Images will be available for viewing and voting during the SHA conference on Historical and Underwater Archaeology on the ACUA website and included in the People’s Choice online contest. All entries will be included in the People’s Choice Competition. The Oakland competition is all digital, no printed and mounted images are required.
Winning entries will be acknowledged on the ACUA website and social media sites. Results of the judging and People’s Choice Awards will be announced during the conference. Carefully review the New ACUA Photo Contest Call for Entries and Guidelines 2024. Deadline December 1 (midnight CST).

Step 1 – Complete the online Entry Form (you will be able to save and return to the form before final submission). Deadline for applications December 1.
Step 2 – Pay your entry fee via PayPal
Step 3 – Submit your entries and required forms via WeTransfer.com (see guidelines for additional options). Deadline for submission December 1.
Ethics and Non-Discrimination Statements
All images and videos must conform to the intent and purposes of the Society for Historical Archaeology ethics and non-discrimination statements, and ACUA anti-harassment, diversity-equity-inclusion, and anti-racism statements. By submitting an image or video the participant acknowledges and agrees to adhere to both statements of the SHA and ACUA.
